IATA DGR 7.1 Tables ENGLISH initial excluding radioactive materials (4 days)

In this basic training you will learn to use the IATA manual Dangerous Goods Regulations, which lay down the regulations for the air transport of dangerous goods. The training gives you insight into the regulations for the air transport of hazardous substances for all danger classes with the exception of class 7, radioactive substances. 
The training is competence-oriented, ie developed for specific tasks ( CBTA: Competency-Based Training & Assessment ) and aimed at employees who classify hazardous substances using tables ( 7.1 Tables ). Before you can participate in the training, determining the specific training need is mandatory. 

In this 7.1 Basic training you will learn about the following topics:
•Proper handling and interpretation of the IATA DGR manual;
•Basic knowledge about hazardous substances and goods;
•Identifying dangerous substances and goods;
•Packaging options and quantity limitation;
•Packaging requirements;
•Marking and labeling;
•Overpackaging;
•Documentation;
•Collection of safety data and reporting of incidents with dangerous goods.

The training concludes with an assessment, which requires a minimum score of 80 %. With a successful assessment, 2 certificates are issued: an IATA certificate and a certificate that complies with Dutch regulations. 
These certificates are valid for 2 years.
