  • With the new requirements of IMO 2020, solid quality control of bunker oils is essential for business continuity. Our fuel oil testing services help you verify if the quality of your marine fuel complies with the requirements of ISO 8217 and a wider variety of regulations, for example IMO 2020.

    ISO 8217 specifies the requirements for fuels that are used in marine diesel engines and boilers, prior to conventional onboard treatment (settling, centrifuging and filtration) before use. The specifications for fuels according to ISO 8217 can also be applied to fuels used in stationary diesel engines of the same or similar type as those used for marine purposes.

ISO 8217 - 2005

La viscosité correspond à la fluidité de l’huile. Elle est mesurée à l’aide d’un viscosimètre automatique à capillaire. L’interprétation du résultat se fait par comparaison avec l’huile neuve. Une modification sensible de la viscosité signifie généralement la détérioration thermique ou chimique du lubrifiant ou la pollution par un autre fluide.
